Bio's and 'Mission Statement'
Mission Statement & Goals:
Our Mission is to create a hassle-free environment away from all the day to day stress that most people are under these days. We strive to create an enjoyable environment for car enthusiasts of all ages through an abundance of events from Dinner Cruises to Old School Diner Cruise-Ins to Theme Parks to Drag Races and anything else we can come up with to keep you guys enjoying yourselves. My Current Goal for the direction of our community is to continue gaining sponsors and members to help better our current events and provide new events in our future. We Currently have our own CFLPonySports Cruise-In at a Diner in DeLand Called Hampton's Drive-In. I Currently have my mind focused on overfilling this venue and moving on to a bigger venue in a very short period of time. As far as when we outgrow the Hampton's Parking Lot I would really love to see us move on to a Venue such as Old Town with a lot more space to support our community which is growing 100 times faster than anyone ever could have predicted or imagined.
Who Am I:
Grabber07: RCarsonJr@cflponysports.com
My name is Rick Carson I am the Current Club President. My Father, Rick Carson Sr. and I Founded this community in order to bring people together to have fun, without all the political bs. We Figured we already have a pretty decent number of folks we generally ride to the drag strip and to car shows with, why not expand on that so we can have even more fun even more often! We both work Full Time Jobs and this is more of a hobby for us, but we keep meeting more and more people just like us at every event we go to so we thought we'd be the ones to make a step at bringing us all together at future events for more good conversation, laughs, and insight. Also because it's just so much fun rolling into an event with a bunch of good folks in a bunch of nice cars. If you don't know the feeling, join the community and you'll see just what I'm talking about.
I currently work in Home Security Installation, with ADT's Residential/Small Business Department. I am barely qualified to be considered an Amateur Automotive Mechanic of Sorts. I have a year of Automotive Technical School Under My Belt that I took back in High School, which ultimately could have led into ASE Certifications had I pursued it. I've picked up some insight here and there from my Father lending a hand around the shop when I can. I'm more about having a enjoyable time and laughing with friends and listening to those wiser than me to learn what I can here and there. Jack of all trades you can say, I know a little about a lot and a lot about very little. I have a few years of IT Training as well and am much better with computers than cars, but I love my Cars a lot more.
I currently own a Grabber Orange 07 Mustang GT, Which I haven't put very much money into other then the car payment at the moment. Am very interested in getting down the track faster that's for sure so we'll see where that takes me. Who knows maybe your opinion or advice will have some bearing in how that plays out when it's all said and done.
KrazyKenne: Ron_Barnard46@yahoo.com
My name is Ron Barnard and I am the current club Vice President. I currently own a '05 Mineral Grey GT with a Kenne Bell Supercharger and many other modifications. I have been a fan of Mustangs since the day Rick Sr took me for a ride in his '70 Boss 302 when I was 15. Then I decided a Mustang would be my first car and found a '86 GT Convertible, then I upgraded to a 2000 GT and now have the 2005.
I have always jumped on any chance to get out in the car but didn't want to get involved in the car club politics and decided to get involved when we got this idea to have a "keep it simple" car club and most of all keep it free.
Cobra350: Cobra350@cflponysports.com
My name is Rick Carson Sr. Founder of this site and founding member of the club. I bought my first Mustang when I was 16 years old a 1965 convertible 289- 2 barrel. I have been driving them ever since. I have worked in Ford dealerships for 23 years started as a lube tech and worked my way up to service manager of a dealer in Atlanta Georgia. I have owned just about every year and style of Mustang made up to the 2006 that I presently drive. I have had several race cars over the years also. Mustang of course except for one Mopar.
I am an ASE and Ford Certified Master Technician. I also owned a Mustang restoration business for a few years until health matters forced a career change. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Mustangs have always been my passion and seeing a fellow young enthusiast eyes light up when he sees a Mustang and remembering that look back when I was 8 years old and got my first toy Mustang (A battery operated 65 coupe) I have been hooked ever since.
I promote Ford and Mustang to everyone everywhere I go. I hope to have my great great grandchildren driving Mustangs and Ford to still be selling them. My Goal for this site is to bring more Ford and Mustang Enthusiasts like us together. As well as inform, entertain, and aid fellow enthusiasts. Enjoy the site and I will be happy to help in any way I can with your Mustang adventure.

I did a few mods to the car I upgraded my cylinder heads to the PI Head Upgrade most people know what that is I also added a 75 mil Throttle body, BBK upper plenum, cold air Intake, Flow master exhaust and chrome cobra R Wheels. A Few other things but that’s the main stuff. I now own a 2003 Cobra, 2006 F-150, and my fiancé has a 2000 Mustang Convertible so we are a Ford Family.
I have an associate’s degree in Computer networking and hardware, I just sold my business and I’m self employed. Our goal is to try and make this a fun and knowledgeable environment for everyone so we can all learn and from each other. I'm always willing to learn and share new things when it comes to mustangs and Fords, I look forward to growing this community with everyone. Please feel free to join us and share your insight and opinions so we can all learn more about the hobby we love.
What we are:
Well the purpose of this community is to bring together Ford and Mustang Enthusiasts of all ages who are just looking for some people who share the same common interest. We strive to create an enjoyable environment for everybody. We have members of all ages, shapes, and sizes. Cars from Stock to barely street legal. You will find many members with helpful knowledge and insight, or if ur lucky some really good jokes.
If your looking to join the community it's a simple as registering a name, introducing yourself on our forums and showing up at an event when you are able. We strive to try and meet and then ride to an event together so we can all park together and hang out at said event. Plus it's just awesome seeing a long line of Stangs and Fast Fords Rollin Down the Street.
What we aren't:
We are not looking to award you any trophies so big they won't fit in ur house and have to become yard ornaments. Charge you membership dues or anything of the nature. We are not looking for Best In Show Quality members so much as we are looking for thrill-seekers who can hold a good conversation and show up at an event from time to time.
